The Mortal Mamba

Black swans are the events that are extremely rare to happen and are of high impact.

For your presence today a lot of events should have happened in the correct order :

1. Big bang , the very first step.
2. Origin of life should have happened successfully on this planet earth (a magical event). Imagine if it was mars or moon, may be humans would look different (say we had 3 legs, no one knows).
3. After the origin of the first life form evolution should have happened (billions of years ago) resulting in lots of species, including humans.
4. Your ancestors (chimps, etc) should have successfully mated to pass the gene to your parents. Imagine if they died somehow (while jumping from tree to tree, or say lion ate them or snake bit them) before the mating you would not be here today as well.
5. Then your parents happen to meet somehow (out of infinite possibilities they chose to be the one for each other).
6. Then your parents mated and out of millions of sperms one reached a successful stage to develop and become an embryo.
7. You were born successfully (no premature death) and here you are the result of that.

( The above set of events are pictured in terms of science concepts. Events would be a bit different in terms of religious concepts but the overall events demonstrating low probability would be similar. )

There were many events possible but only one led to what we are today. Our existence is magical and yet we never feel proud of it.

Just like our low probable presence, whatever we experience is also highly improbable.

Most of the thing happening to you is highly improbable :

1. You meeting a new person
2. Your life partner
3. Your kids
4. You enjoying a nice vacation
5. You reaching office successfully from home
6. Your next pay cheque
7. And so on…

If anything bad is happening to you the same low probability thought applies to that as well. But instead of cursing your situation, as to something that is highly improbable is happening to you, you can think in other ways, there were many other much worse things that were possible but that didn’t happen.

P.S: Your presence on this planet today is a black swan event. You are the black swan. Live it, Claim the black swan, make a high impact on everything you touch.. your life, your happiness, your society, everything. What is rare is valuable and you are rarest of rare !!
